9.8.2. Replacement of a brake disk

THE GENERAL DATA

The prevention
It is necessary to replace brake disks simultaneously from both parties of a forward suspension bracket.

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Remove a support, without disconnecting from it a brake hose (subsection 9.8 see). Suspend a support on a wire to a suspension bracket spring, watching that the brake hose has not been tense, it was not overwound and strongly it was not bent.

2. Turn out the screw 1 (fig. of the Detail of the brake disk mechanism of a back wheel see) fastenings of a brake disk.

3. Moisten with a liquid of type WD of 40 junctions of a disk 2 with a nave 5. Wait a little that the rust was dissolved, and remove a dirt and a rust.

4. Remove a brake disk 2 from a nave 5. At the complicated removal shift a disk a rubber or polymeric hammer.

5. Carefully clear a nave 5.

6. Establish a new disk 2 and screw the screw of 1 its fastening.

7. Before support installation screw the piston by means of the special adaptation. In the absence of the adaptation it can be made, for example, by means of nippers for removal of lock rings.

8. Establish a wheel. Definitively tighten bolts of fastening of a wheel only on the car standing on the earth.

9. Some times press a brake pedal that pistons have occupied working position.

10. Check up and if necessary add to demanded level in a tank a brake liquid.
