5.6. Removal and installation of the water pump on models with diesel engines

THE GENERAL DATA

Details of system of cooling of the diesel engine of 1,9 l, 74 kw

1 – a bolt of fastening of the water pump; 2 – the water pump; 3 – a sealing ring; 4 – a hose of a broad tank; 5 – a tube of system of cooling on the block of cylinders; 6 – branch pipes of a radiator of a heater; 7, 11, 14 – tees; 8 – the gauge of temperature of a cooling liquid; 9 – lock скоба;

10 – a sealing ring; 12 – a branch pipe of a head of the block; 13 – bolts of fastening of a branch pipe; 15 – a bolt; 16 – a bringing hose of a radiator; 17 – a tube of system of cooling; 18 – a hose to a broad tank; 19 – a bringing hose of a radiator; 20 – a cover of a nest of the thermostat; 21 – the thermostat; 22 – the heat exchanger of the oil filter

At occurrence of a leak from the water pump or damage of its bearings it is necessary to replace the pump.

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Remove грязезащитный an engine guard. 2. Merge cooling liquid (subsection 5.13 see). 3. Remove a belt of a drive of a camshaft (subsection 2.4.1 see). 4. Turn away bolts of 1 fastening and cautiously remove the water pump 2 from the engine. 5. Replace the sealing ring torn or lost elasticity 3. It is recommended to replace a ring new it is not dependent on its condition. 6. Establish a sealing ring 3 on the water pump 2, preliminary having cleared and having greased a ring with a pure cooling liquid. 7. Establish the water pump 2 on the engine so that the pump branch pipe has been directed downwards. 8. Tighten bolts of 1 fastening of the pump. The moment of an inhaling of bolts of fastening of the water pump – 15 Нм. 9. Establish a belt of a drive and adjust its tension (subsection 2.4.1 see). 10. Fill in a liquid in cooling system (subsection 5.13 see).
