THE GENERAL DATA

Stopper of a drain aperture of a radiator

Fill in the cooling liquid corresponding to norms TL VW 774 D (the tab. Recommended cooling liquids see).

Depending on an ambient temperature it is necessary to dissolve a concentrate of a cooling liquid with the distilled water according to tab. of Norm of cultivation of a concentrate of a cooling liquid.


The prevention

Replace cooling liquid on the cold engine.


It is strictly forbidden to pour out cooling liquid on the earth or in water drain system as containing in it этиленгликоль is highly toxic poison. Its hit in ground waters will lead to adverse ecological consequences for environment.
PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Uncover a broad tank.
2. Remove грязезащитный an engine guard.
3. Substitute under a branch pipe of 1 drain aperture capacity for gathering of the fulfilled liquid (fig. the Stopper of a drain aperture of a radiator see). For convenience of work put on a branch pipe a hose.
4. Turn away a stopper 2 drain apertures.
5. On models with diesel engines ослабьте an inhaling of a collar also disconnect a hose 1 from the forward union of the heat exchanger 2. Wait, when all liquid will merge, and connect a hose 1 to the forward union of the heat exchanger (3 – the oil filter).
6. Wrap a stopper 2 (fig. the Stopper of a drain aperture of a radiator see) drain aperture.
7. Fill in a new cooling liquid in a broad tank to a label max.
8. Establish a cover on a broad tank.
9. Start up the engine and allow to it to work, the radiator fan will not join yet.
10. Check up level of a cooling liquid in a broad tank and if necessary add a liquid.
11. On the heated-up engine level of a cooling liquid should be in a broad tank on a label max or hardly above. On the cold engine liquid level should not fall below a label min.

The prevention

On the heated-up engine the cooling system is under pressure. Therefore remove a stopper of a broad tank on the cold engine; if it is necessary to open a tank on the hot engine, cover a stopper with a rag and remove its outstretched arm.
