The scheme of measurement of diameter of the cylinder

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Clear heads of pistons of a deposit. Clean flutes under piston rings, it is convenient to do it by a fragment of an old piston ring.
2. Examine pistons: if on them there are teases, traces прогара, it is necessary to replace deep scratches, cracks, pistons.
3. Measure backlashes in locks of piston rings. For this purpose insert a ring into the cylinder in which it worked (for engines of 1,0 l, 37 kw and 1,4 l, 50 kw from above, at other engines from below). Then advance a ring the piston, as оправкой, in the cylinder that it was established in it without warps on distance about 15 mm from cylinder edge. Measure щупом a backlash in the ring lock, as is shown in drawing. Values of backlashes are resulted in tab. the Backlash in the lock of a piston ring.
4. If the measured backlash exceeds maximum permissible, replace a ring. If a backlash less nominal, accurately grind off надфилем ring end faces.
5. Check up backlashes between rings and flutes on the piston. For this purpose insert a ring into a flute in which it stood, as is shown in drawing, and щупом measure a backlash.
6. The nominal backlash for petrol engines makes 0,04–0,08 mm, maximum permissible – 0,15 mm (backlashes are specified only for компрессионных rings), at diesel engines the nominal backlash for top компрессионного rings should be 0,06–0,09 mm, bottom – 0,05–0,08 mm, a maximum permissible backlash for компрессионных rings – 0,25 mm; for маслосъемных rings a nominal backlash of 0,03-0,06 mm, maximum permissible – 0,15 mm. If at least one of backlashes exceeds maximum permissible, replace the piston with rings.
7. Examine cylinders. If on a mirror of cylinders there are scratches, teases, bowls and so forth, chisel cylinders under the repair size (the tab. the Sizes of cylinders and pistons see) or replace the block of cylinders, at engines of 1,0 l, 37 kw and 1,4 l, 50 kw replace sleeves of cylinders. At the named defects depth more than 0,5 mm the block is not subject to repair, it is necessary to replace it.
8. Clear a deposit in the top part of cylinders. If the corbel owing to deterioration of cylinders there was formed, remove it шабером.
9. Measure with the help нутромера diameters of cylinders. Diameter of the cylinder is measured in two perpendicular directions And and In (fig. the Scheme of measurement of diameter of the cylinder see) and three belts, thus the belt 2 passes on the cylinder middle, and belts 1 and 3 will defend from cylinder edge on 10 mm from above and from below. If the measured diameter at least in one cylinder exceeds nominal more than on 0,08 mm at petrol engines and on 0,1 mm – at diesel, it is necessary to chisel cylinders under the next repair size or to replace the block of cylinders.
The prevention

It is forbidden to measure diameters of cylinders in the block fixed at the stand for assemblage of the engine for an arm of a support of the power unit as in this case the result can be erroneous.


10. Measure diameter of the piston on distance of 10 mm from a bottom edge in a plane, perpendicular to a piston finger, as is shown in drawing. If the received value differs from nominal more than on 0,04 mm, it is necessary to replace the piston.
11. Examine loose leaves radical and шатунных bearings: if on them there are cracks, teases, сколы, выкрашивания and so forth, replace loose leaves. On loose leaves it is forbidden to spend any подгоночные works.
12. Examine persistent half rings of a cranked shaft: if on them teases, risks, отслоения are found out, it is necessary to replace half rings. On half rings it is forbidden to spend any подгоночные works.
13. If on surfaces of a cranked shaft on which epiploons work, there are deep risks, scratches, забоины, teases, it is necessary to replace a cranked shaft.
14. If on radical and шатунных necks there are insignificant teases, risks, scratches, it is necessary прошлифовать them till next repair size. This work needs to be carried out on a car repair shop. After that polish necks and dull sharp edges of oil channels an abrasive cone. Then wash out a shaft and blow compressed air oil channels. After grinding of necks establish loose leaves of the repair sizes. The sizes of necks of cranked shaft are resulted in tab. the Sizes of necks of cranked shaft.
15. Measure an axial backlash of a cranked shaft. For this purpose establish in the block of cylinders a cranked shaft with persistent half rings and covers of radical bearings. Tighten bolts of fastening of covers the moment 75 Нм at engines of 1,0 l, 37 kw and 1,4 l, 50 kw and 65 Нм at the diesel engine of 1,9 l, 74 kw. Fix the indicator so that its leg rested against an end face of a cranked shaft. Shift a cranked shaft from the indicator against the stop and establish the indicator on a zero, then shift a cranked shaft in an opposite side against the stop. The indicator will show backlash size. If the backlash exceeds maximum permissible, it is necessary to replace persistent half rings. The nominal axial backlash for engines makes of 1,0 l, 37 kw and 1,4 l, 50 kw: 0,03–0,13 mm, maximum permissible – 0,26 mm; for the diesel engine of 1,9 l, 74 kw a nominal backlash of 0,07-0,17 mm, maximum permissible – 0,37 mm.
16. Check up backlashes between necks of a cranked shaft and loose leaves radical and шатунных bearings. Backlashes can be calculated, having measured diameters of necks of a cranked shaft and diameters radical and шатунных bearings for what establish covers of bearings with loose leaves into place and tighten bolts of their fastening by the corresponding moments. The Manufacturer recommends to measure backlashes by means of the plastic calibrated wire as follows:
      – Carefully clear bearings, necks of a cranked shaft and loose leaves of oil adjournment;
      – Lay a cranked shaft on beds of radical bearings with the established loose leaves;
      – Put on necks of a cranked shaft scraps of the calibrated plastic wire;
      – Establish covers of bearings with the loose leaves established in them and tighten bolts of their fastening by the corresponding moments. Thus do not turn a cranked shaft;
      – Remove covers of bearings. The backlash is defined on degree of flattening of a wire by means of a scale on wire packing.
For a diesel engine of 1,9 l, 74 kw the nominal backlash in radical bearings makes 0,03–0,08 mm, maximum permissible – 0,17 mm, in шатунных bearings a maximum permissible backlash – 0,08 mm.
For engines of 1,4 l, 55 and 74 kw a nominal backlash in шатунных bearings of 0,020-0,061 mm, maximum permissible – 0,091 mm. If backlashes exceed maximum permissible, it is necessary прошлифовать a cranked shaft under the next repair size.
17. Examine a flywheel if teeths of its wreath are damaged, replace a flywheel or its wreath. For wreath replacement bring down an old wreath from a flywheel, for simplification of operation it is possible to heat up a wreath. Then heat up a new wreath to 150 With, put on a flywheel, if necessary striking in regular intervals on all perimetre of a wreath, besiege it against the stop. If on a surface прилегания a conducted disk of coupling colours побежалости (the flywheel was перегрет), that, probably, ослабла landing of a gear wreath to a flywheel are visible. Defect reveal on a car repair shop. With the weakened landing of a gear wreath it is necessary to replace a flywheel.
18. Replace rods, if they погнуты or at presence задиров in the top head. It is necessary to replace rods only in gathering with covers as they are processed in common.
19. At engines of 1,4 l, 55 and 74 kw check up a preliminary tightness шатунных loose leaves. For this purpose measure in mm external diameter a (fig. Measurement of a preliminary tightness шатунных loose leaves of engines of 1,4 l, 55 and 74 kw) the loose leaf see and diameter b the bottom head of a rod, having established preliminary its cover and having tightened bolts of its fastening by the corresponding moment. Then under the formula c = a - b calculate size of a preliminary tightness. The minimum admissible tightness should make 1,5 mm. If the measured tightness has turned out less minimum admissible, replace loose leaves.
20. At the diesel engine check up выступание an adjusting pin. For this purpose on a cranked shaft turn away three bolts 2 (fig. Measurement выступания an adjusting pin of the diesel engine of 1,9 l, 74 kw) fastenings see and remove a disk 1. Measure выступание and a pin over an end face of a cranked shaft, it should be 2,5–3,0 mm.
21. At engines of 1,0 l, 37 kw and 1,4 l, 50 kw check up выступание sleeves of cylinders over the top plane of the block of cylinders, as is shown in drawing. Thus the sleeve with the lining put on it 12 (fig. of the Detail of shatunno-piston group of engines of 1,0 l, 37 kw and 1,4 l, 50 kw see) needs to be pressed densely to the block. Выступание 0,07–0,12 mm should be equal.
22. If the measured value does not keep within the specified limits, it is necessary to pick up a new lining of a sleeve. In spare parts linings 0,10 are delivered in the thickness; 0,12; and 0,14 mm. The difference in values выступания sleeves is supposed no more than on 0,04 mm.
